I feel like I should say something meaningful here but as anyone who has ever read one of
my term papers will tell you, when I try to sound deep I come off as cliche (grin)
So I'll rely on the wisdom of others instead. One other actually, although if you want to be
terribly literal, it's the wisdom of several very intelligent writers. But as far as I'm
concerned, writers notwithstanding, the fictional character of Doctor Who is one of the wisest
men who ever lived and I firmly believe that it would do everyone some good to sit down and
watch a few episodes of the show. There are a lot of people out there who need some education
on how to be a better human being and, ironically, the double-hearted Time Lord from Gallifrey
is one of the best examples there is.
That being said, I will leave you with what I believe is one of the most insightful things the Doctor
ever said and let you think about its implications on your own- "The very powerful and the very stupid
have one thing in common- they don't alter their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit
the views."
